My Four Dollar Promise

I have been fundraising and biking for the Lance Armstrong Foundation since 2009 and its because of my loyal family, friends and donors that I’ve had continued success. This year, I’m going to try to reach more donors than ever before and will be challenging your pocketbook and mine.

Putting My Money Where My Mouth Is
For every donation that is $20 or more, I will personally contribute $4 to the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Sound nuts? Here’s a few FAQs to clear any confusion:

Jen, have you lost your mind?
Honestly, I’m not sure that I ever had it.

How many donations are you expecting to get?
You know, I’m not sure. My donation numbers have fluctuated over the last three years, but my prediction is somewhere in the neighborhood of 150 to 1 millllllllion (insert Austin Powers voice).

But, what if you DO get one million donations?
Darn good question! My husband Luke and I are committed to donating $4 for 250 donations that are $20 or more.

What happens if you exceed 250 donations?
If I reach more than 250 donors, I’ll start to look for sponsors to see if any companies or individuals can cover the remaining donations.

Who’s the first person you’re going to ask to sponsor you?
Ryan Seacrest. And no, I’m not kidding.

Do you actually have a pocketbook?
Depends, does Timbuk2 count?

Why is $4 the magic number?
Well, according to the song, 3 is actually the magic number – but I’ve chosen 4 since this is my 4th LIVESTRONG Challenge event.

Where can I make a donation?
Gee, I thought you’d never ask! My personal fundraising page is set up here: http://laf.livestrong.org/goto/1dollar1mile. Please contact me if you’d prefer to mail in a check and I’ll send you a form.
